We've done 45, 48 and 51 mile days so far and we decided to cut today's 65 mile ride down to a manageable 35 miles in order to let these old bones rest a bit before tomorrows 2700 foot climb. We got a ride from Happy Camp to Hamburg from a guy with a pickup truck looking to make a couple of bucks. Once at Hamburg we had the nicest day yet...almost three hours of riding with basically no cars.
